On the beach in Maui: Winter 2012

It was the right time of day, with the sun low in the sky. I arranged the others so that the waves would break on them and recede in the distance in a diagonal line. I stood back at the proper distance and asked a passerby to take our picture and place us off to one side in the viewfinder. This worked well as he was a photographer. He took a flurry of images all within less than a minute. This is a composite image where the main shot was taken at the exact time a wave broke on us.
