Left: The masthead uses a mix of upper and lower case letters and is meant to look clean, contemporary and yet have ties to the past. The client wanted all the past presidents of the association on the front cover. DDW singled out the photo of the priest with the glasses because of the immediacy and directness and quality of this image; we then enlarged him as the focal point of the page and placed him as if he were sitting in a field (from istock). The lily symbol was added as a tie-in to the French language and culture. Right: The 2 main images for the cover.
